The university allows the introduction of a summer semester (with the exception of the final year) to meet the needs for additional training, elimination of academic arrears or differences in curriculum, study subjects and mastering credits students in other universities with their mandatory re-credit in their university, increasing the grade point average (GPA).
To retake the exam from the mark "unsatisfactory" to positive, the student in the next academic period or summer semester again attends all types of classes under the working curriculum for this discipline, gets a permit and passes the final control.
The students who have an academic debt on the state exam "History of Kazakhstan", re-attend all types of classes in the summer semester, meet the requirements of the current control, are admitted and retake the exam in the period of the State Examination Commission.
In order to obtain admission to the summer semester, the student at the end of the summer interim certification fills out in the dean's office a standard application form on the intention to participate in the summer semester. The completed application form is approved by the Dean of the Faculty. The student makes the payment for the summer semester in the branch of the bank with which the cooperation agreement is concluded. With the application and the original receipt of payment the student applies to the accounting department of the University, where the accountant makes a mark in the application. The application is submitted to the dispatch department within three working days after the end of the summer interim certification.
The student is given the right to choose a teacher. At the same time, it is not allowed to conduct classes by teachers who conducted discipline with a debt holder during theoretical training (autumn/spring semester). The final form of control in the discipline is carried out by the teacher who conducted training sessions in this discipline during the summer semester.
Exams are held for the last three days in the last week of the summer semester after the end of the theoretical course of study. Retake of exams in disciplines studied during the summer semester is not allowed.
Based on the results of exams in the disciplines of the curriculum of the specialty, mastered during the summer semester, the transfer score (GPA) of the current academic year is recalculated.
With a low transfer score (GPA), unsatisfactory results of the summer semester and intermediate certification, students are granted the right to re-study.
Students who have received unsatisfactory grades and have not scored a transferable GRA based on the results of the summer semester are deprived of state educational grants.
At the end of the summer semester, the dean's office determines the GRA of each student and issues an order to transfer them from course to course.
