Department of Science and Research Training
The Department of Science and Research Training is a structural division of the university that ensures the integration of science, education, and industry. The university's research activities are aimed at implementing the Addresses of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the "Kazakhstan-2050" Strategy, and the State Programs for the Development of Education, Science, and Regions for 2020–2025. The Department's work is guided by the Akmola Region Territory Development Program and the university's own strategy for interaction with the region for 2021–2023.
Research work at the university is strictly regulated by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Science," the Regulation on National Research Councils, and the rules for basic, grant, and program-targeted funding. All expert procedures are conducted in accordance with the Rules of State Scientific and Technical Expertise, which guarantees a high level of research.
The Department's structure includes two key areas: the Science Department and the Postgraduate Education Department, which jointly provide a full cycle of research training. The Head of the Department is Marden Yersainovich Baydalin, PhD.
The main areas of work include publishing scientific journals, hosting international conferences, and supporting innovative projects in the Shoqan Research database. Training in the master's degree programs (specialized and research-pedagogical) and PhD programs is aimed at creating a competitive pool of researchers. The Department's specialized councils and committees coordinate scientific ethics and dissertation quality. The development of young scientists through the Council of Young Scientists and Students allows the university to effectively respond to contemporary challenges in the socioeconomic development of society.
