Welcome to the School of Business and Law

Since September 1, 2021, the School of Business and Law at Sh. Ualikhanov University has been a premier hub for training highly qualified specialists in Business and Management, Law, and the Service Sector. Under the leadership of Dr. Abai Iskakov (PhD in Economics), the school continues a long-standing tradition of excellence.

Educational programs related to business and management have been implemented since 1991 on the basis of the S. Sadvakasov Kokshetau Agricultural Institute and a branch of the Karaganda Polytechnic Institute. The idea of preparing educational programs in this area arose in connection with the need for economic personnel in the Akmola region and belongs to Professor Zhunusov Bakhyt Gazizovich. Training of students in the areas of Law and service sector in the KU named after Sh. Ualikhanov has become an urgent and important task. The educational program "Law" was established by Order No. 523 of July 4, 2011, the educational program "Tourism" has been implemented since 2000.

Our faculty comprises 48 full-time educators, including prominent professors, Doctors of Science, and PhD holders. The academic strength of our team is supported by: 3 Doctors of Science; 12 Candidates of Science; 2 PhD holders; 30 Master’s degree holders.

Currently, the School provides a vibrant learning environment for 434 students, with instruction offered in both Kazakh and Russian.

For the formation and development of the educational process at a high level, an appropriate material and technical base has been created at the Higher School. The academic buildings have modern laboratories and computer classes equipped with the necessary equipment and devices. Modern educational technologies are used in the educational process. A qualitative approach to the formation of intellectual and spiritual potential of Higher education is supported by the work of the library, reading rooms. There is a sports and recreation complex, an assembly hall and cafeteria.

The departments are closely cooperating with employers, organizations in the following areas, branches of departments are being formed. At the Department of "Business and Services" for continuous training of accountants and economists there is a branch on the basis of "SoftMaster" LLP, a branch for students under the "Finance" educational program is opened in JSC "Jusan Bank", a branch in the Kokshetau RGC operates under the "Restaurant and Hotel Business" educational program, a branch of the department operates in the Akmola Regional Court for students studying under the "Jurisprudence" educational program. Academic schools are also being formed in the joint creative search of teachers and students, which forms the basis of a special scientific and pedagogical unity.

Today, the Higher School of Business and Law is a center for innovative development, an important scientific and methodological center, a vector for development economic stability.
