The Department of Postgraduate Education coordinates and oversees the implementation of master's and doctoral programs at Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University.

The goal is to train competitive, highly qualified personnel with developed scientific thinking and high spiritual and moral qualities.

Training is carried out in accordance with the State Educational Standard of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Classifier of Specialties of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the curricula, the academic calendar, and the individual educational trajectories of students. Educational programs are implemented under the license of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Master's programs are offered in two tracks:

  • specialized (at least 1 year of study);
  • scientific and pedagogical (2 years).

Training is conducted full-time under a state educational order and on a contractual basis. Only individuals with a higher education degree corresponding to the profile of the chosen program are eligible to enroll. Those who do not have the necessary prerequisites may study for a fee.

Admission deadlines for the Master's program:

  • Applications are accepted from early June to early-mid-July (summer intake), and from late October to early-mid-November (winter intake);
  • Comprehensive testing is from July to mid-August (summer intake), and from mid-November to early December (winter intake);
  • Application deadlines and enrollment are August 28 (summer intake), and January 10 (winter intake).

Admission is competitive and based on the results of entrance examinations through the NCT system.

Doctoral programs (PhD) are offered in the scientific and pedagogical field and last three years. The program is full-time (state-funded and fee-based).

Admission deadlines for the Doctoral program:

  • Applications are accepted from early July to early-mid-August (summer intake), and from late October to early November (winter intake);
  • Exams are August 17-20 (summer intake), and November 19-December 11 (winter intake);
  • Admission deadline: August 28 (summer enrollment), January 10 (winter enrollment).

Educational programs are implemented by graduate departments, taking into account research areas.
