On October 6–7, 2025, a monitoring visit took place at Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz as part of the implementation of the international Erasmus+ project CirculEC – “Development of Innovative Curricula and Modules in Circular Economy and Sustainable Development.”

During the visit, teams from all four Kazakhstani universities — D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University, Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, and Alikhan Bokeikhan University — presented the results of pilot implementation of newly developed and adapted courses and disciplines at the bachelor’s, master’s, and lifelong learning (LLL) levels.

In the course of the discussions, colleagues from the European partner universities (FHM, UNINA, and USC) and Central Asian universities provided a number of recommendations aimed at further improving the piloted courses and modules. In particular, they emphasized the importance of closer integration of circular economy principles across all levels of educational programs and interdisciplinary courses. It was also recommended to strengthen the practice-oriented component, enhance collaboration with business and industry representatives, and involve students more actively in project-based and research activities related to real-world challenges in the field of circular economy and sustainable development.
