On November 12, 2024, an information meeting with representatives of the Blood Center was held with students of the Higher School of Medicine. This event was organized in order to raise students' awareness of the importance of blood donation, discuss modern approaches in transfusiology, and answer questions related to the conditions and procedures of blood donation.Representatives of the Blood Center spoke in detail about the importance of donor care for healthcare, how blood donation helps save lives, and what contribution each student can make to improving medical care. The issues of safety and preparation for blood donation were also highlighted in order to dispel possible myths and doubts that potential donors often face. Special attention was paid to training future doctors to work with donors, ensuring high quality standards in blood transfusion, as well as ethical aspects of working with donors and recipients.Such meetings contribute to the formation of an active social position among medical students and enhance their professional competencies, which is especially important for future specialists in the field of medicine.
