On October 16-17, 2024, the teaching staff and students of the Higher School of Medicine took part in the opening of the memorial on the territory of the Multidisciplinary Regional Oncopolyclinic Hospital. They also became participants of a scientific and practical conference held in Bolashak Sarayy, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Honored Doctor of the Kazakh SSR Baykenov Umurbek Kakimovich. U.K. Bikerov headed the Akmola Oncological dispensary from 1961 to 2002, leaving a significant contribution to the development of medicine and oncology in the region.
