On May 23, 2024, a ceremony was held to award certificates for professional development courses for teachers as part of the World Bank project "Implementing a Model of Teacher Education and Strengthening its Content."

This large-scale project was coordinated by HAME University of Applied Sciences (Finland) in collaboration with Nazarbayev University and JAMK University of Applied Sciences (Finland).

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan paid special attention to the successful implementation of the project, which covered all universities in the country that offer teacher education programs.

The project began with the development of a model for teacher education, within which 30 competency-based national educational programs for teachers were revised and developed.

The next step was the scaling and implementation of these programs into the educational process. Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University actively participated in this project, working on the development and implementation of the educational programs.65 teachers from Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University and 24 teachers from A. Myrzakhmetov Kokshetau University participated in professional development courses.

The main areas of training included natural and human sciences, as well as special education.The program included intensive online sessions, offline training, and post-course support. The trainers for the courses during the scaling phase were Shynar Nurlybekovna Durmekbayeva, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Head of the Department of Biology and Teaching Methods; Dinara Sarsembayevna Ryspaeva, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Head of the Department of English Language and Teaching Methods; and Sandugash Kairkanovna Moldabekova, PhD, from the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy.
