From September 15 to October 4, 2024, Dr. Bazilevskaya visited Shokan Ualikhanov Kokshetau University. During her visit, she actively collaborated with the Department of Agriculture and Bioresources, conducting research on soils in Akmola region. Soil samples were taken to analyze the content of heavy metals and data on the region's black soils were studied, which helped to better understand the dynamics of soil degradation. In addition, Dr. Bazilevskaya trained the students in X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzer operation methods and conducted practical exercises on analysis of trace element composition in soils.

She also visited experimental agricultural fields to study different sunflower hybrids and their adaptation to local conditions. This data will be used to further improve yields.

The visit ended with the successful preparation for publication of a scientific article co-authored with Kazakhstani colleagues. The visit strengthened international scientific cooperation and made a significant contribution to soil research in the region.
