Kokshetau Sh.Ualikhanov University announces upcoming capacity building trainings on circular economy to be held in Italy, Germany and Spain.

The training, organized under the Erasmus+ KA2 CBHE project “Development of innovative curricula and modules in Circular Economy and Sustainable Development (CirculEC)”, will be attended by teachers from the project partner universities of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. This series of trainings is aimed at sharing knowledge and best practices between European and Central Asian universities, promoting the introduction of circular economy principles in the educational process.

The main objective of the trainings is to support university teachers in developing and implementing innovative courses, modules and teaching materials on circular economy and sustainable development. The program will provide in-depth theoretical knowledge and pedagogical strategies to facilitate the integration of sustainable development principles into the curricula of higher education institutions.

The training will cover key topics such as:

- Territorial and urban sustainability and competitiveness;

- Corporate environmental and climate governance;

- Circular economy fundamentals and sustainable business models;

- Sustainability and Competitiveness Indexes;

- Circular Sustainable Entrepreneurship.

This initiative will enable participants to gain a deeper understanding of the concepts of circular economy, sustainable development strategies and their application in educational programs. The program also encourages an interdisciplinary approach, allowing universities to integrate these topics into different areas of training.

The trainings will take place at the following universities:

- Federico II University of Naples (UNINA), Naples, Italy;

- Federal University of Applied Sciences (FHM), Bielefeld, Germany;

- University of Santiago de Compostela, Santiago de Compostela, Spain.

This project represents a significant step in strengthening cooperation between European and Central Asian universities, contributing to the development of innovative educational programs aimed at introducing the principles of circular economy and sustainable development into the higher education system. Through this project, the teachers of the Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University will be able to prepare students for modern challenges in the field of sustainable development and rational use of resources.
