Between May 10 and May 24, 2024, Professor Tomáš Vymyslický , who leads the Department of Genetic Resources at the "Agricultural Research Institute" in the Czech Republic, visited Ualikhanov University within the framework of the program "Invited Foreign Scientist" program, which was launched by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan.
The main research theme that Dr. Vymyslický will address is improving the germination of forage crop seeds, which is an important step in creating a sustainable fodder base for livestock farming in Northern Kazakhstan. Additionally, Tomáš Vymyslický will conduct seminars and workshops for faculty, graduate and doctoral students on the topics of innovations in grass mixtures, seed collection and storage, and drought-resistant soil conditioners.
