Since 2006, the head of the author's team for the creation of existing textbooks and textbooks, as well as electronic textbooks on Russian literature for grades 5, 6, 7 and 11 within the updated content of education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Currently, he is a member of the working group at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the development of standard programs within the framework of improving the content of secondary education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Regular refresher courses, scientific internships in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Japan (Sapporo), France (Paris), Russia (Moscow, Omsk).

Scientific and methodological interests are connected with the study of Russian and world literature of the twentieth century and the modern literary process, as well as with the problems of improving the methods of teaching literature at university and school. Author of the monograph "Writer and Time (From the history of Russian literature of the XX century)".

Scientific articles have been published in the materials of international conferences in Paris, London, Kyoto (Japan), Moscow, St. Petersburg, Togliatti, Bryansk, Biysk, Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Petropavlovsk, Kokshetau, etc.

The results of scientific research are regularly published in publications recommended by the Committee for Control in the Field of education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan ("Vestnik of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University", " Vestnik of KSU"), in the Russian journal "Literature at School" (Moscow), etc.

Author of 5 studies manuals for educational schools recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (in addition to the above-mentioned textbooks and methodological manuals on Russian literature).

Actively cooperates with the regional and city departments of education, with the schools of the city of Kokshetau, with the «Daryn» center. Constantly participates in the jury at city and regional Olympiads of students.

Permanent head of the student team at the Republican Olympiads. Every year the team wins prizes at the national level in Russian language and literature.

N.P. Loktionova under the guidance students and undergraduates actively participate in scientific and student conferences of leading universities of Kazakhstan and Russia (Almaty, Nur-Sultan, Moscow, Pavlodar, Kokshetau).
