Relevance

The novelty of this project lies in the fact that a model of the language environment has been designed, including linguistic, socio-psychological, methodological, informational and communicational, intercultural, managerial components; a scientific and educational consortium of universities in Kazakhstan has been created to solve the problem of reducing the gap between the quality of language training in urban and rural schools; the research is carried out using interdisciplinary the approach, taking into account the specifics of the regions of Kazakhstan.

Goal

Creation of an interuniversity scientific and educational consortium for the development of English language teaching technology aimed at creating a linguistic educational environment that includes linguistic, socio-psychological, methodological, informational and communicational, intercultural, managerial components and helps to reduce the gap between the quality of language training in urban and rural schools.

Project results

  1. The Kazakhstani and foreign experience of studying and teaching English has been studied and systematized, including using a STEAM approach, taking into account the peculiarities of teaching in urban and rural schools, including small schools.

2. The interdependencies between general and specific features of the linguistic educational environment in urban and rural schools in different regions of Kazakhstan have been identified to identify significant linguistic, social, psychological, and ethnocultural markers affecting the quality of learning and teaching English.

3. A technology has been developed to create a linguistic educational environment based on interdisciplinary and applied approaches and including linguistic, socio-psychological, methodological, information and communication, intercultural, and managerial components.

1 article has been published in peer-reviewed scientific publications on the scientific direction of the project, indexed in the Scopus database and measuring the CiteScore percentile of at least 35 (thirty-five).
