Innovation Department

The Innovation Department is a structural unit of the University. We provide a full cycle of research activities: from coordinating fundamental research to commercializing ready-made technologies.

Key areas of activity

The Department's activities are focused on the following tasks:

• Development of science and innovation: Coordination of research work of institutes, departments, and laboratories in priority areas.
• Commercialization and startups: Support for the process of bringing scientific developments to market and support for entrepreneurial initiatives.
• Staff integration: Involving faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates in the implementation of applied projects.
• Strategic partnerships: Developing cooperation with leading universities, research centers, and business representatives.
• Expert support: Assistance in participating in grant competitions, preparation of reporting and patent documentation.
• Working with talent: Creating a scientific environment to support gifted young people and implement their innovative ideas.

Legal and regulatory framework

In their work, the Department's staff are guided by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan (the laws “On Education” and “On Science and Technology Policy”), the State Educational Standards, the University Charter, and international quality management system (QMS) standards.
