Monitoring for project 561553-EPP-1-2015-1-BG-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP Accessibility and harmonisation of higher education in Central Asia through modernisation and curriculum development (АСADEMICA)
On 29 September 2016 Kokshetau State University named after Sh. Ualikhanov hosted the monitoring of the international educational European project "Accessibility and Harmonization of Higher Education in Central Asia through Modernization and Curriculum Development" (ACADEMICA). The project partners from Europe and Kazakhstan took part in the monitoring: Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain), Guglielmo Marconi University (Italy), Kokshetau University named after A. Myrzakhmetov (Kazakhstan), JSC International University of Information Technologies, Kokshetau State University named after Sh. Ualikhanov. The monitoring was also attended by an expert from the Erasmus+ National Office, the Kazakhstan Association for Engineering Education, Kazakstan Innovations PF. Maria Monova-Zheleva from the Burgas Free University (Bulgaria) was also present at the monitoring online.
Rector, Professor of KSU named after Sh. Ualikhanov Abzhapparov A.A. made a welcoming speech to the participants of the monitoring, who spoke about the importance of the ACADEMICA project for our country. The purpose of monitoring was to assess the stages of ACADEMICA project implementation at the moment, as well as to obtain information on the results and achievements in accordance with the logframe matrix of ACADEMICA project, to familiarize with the real environment in which the project is implemented.
At the monitoring session, Michele Tramonti, partner from Guglielmo Marconi University (Italy), gave a presentation on the role of the European Union in the Erasmus+ Programme and identified in her presentation the main key characteristics of the cooperation between universities in the project. Project Country Coordinator Kakabayev A.A. made a presentation on project relevance. In his presentation Kakabayev A.A. introduced the mission and objectives of the project as well as the relevance and design of the project. A.A. Shayakhmetova, Training Coordinator of KSU named after Sh. Ualikhanov, made a presentation on the effectiveness of the project and presented the results of the survey, availability of institutional reports on the status and prospects of training of specialists in engineering and technical fields. I.V. Subbotina, Training Coordinator from KUAM made a presentation on the results of the project. In her presentation Subbotina I.V. presented the results of the project on all work packages that have been implemented so far. G.D. Zakirova, local project coordinator from MUIT gave a presentation on the potential impact of the project. G.S. Muradilova, member of the project working group from KSU named after Sh. Ualikhanov, spoke about the dissemination strategies and work that had been done by all partners to disseminate the project. The local project coordinator from KSPI Sukhov M.V. also gave a presentation about the potential for sustainable development of the project. He noted that the indicator of the potential of the project were achievements at all levels: national, regional and university. During the monitoring a brief self-evaluation report of the project implementation, dissemination of results, developed materials were presented. At the end of the meeting the expert of Erasmus+ National Office Ms. Narenova M.N. summarized the results and highlighted the issues that are necessary for further implementation of the project and noted the results obtained.
