In November 2017 Middlesex , a training seminar was held at the University of Middlesex London, United Kingdom, as part of the European Union Erasmus+ PAWER project "574099-EPP-1-2016-1-IT-EPPKA-CBHE-SP "Paving the way for interregional mobility and ensuring compliance, quality and equity of access". The project coordinator is the University of Lacvila, Italy. The training seminar was attended by 34 participants from partner universities. Our university was represented by Vice-rector for Research and International Relations T. N. Zharkinbekov and Head of the Center for International Cooperation, Internationalization and Academic Mobility A. Kakabayev.


The seminar "Recognition and transfer of credit allocation and classification systems" addressed the following issues: the education system of the EU countries (Great Britain, Poland, Hungary, Italy), Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan). Caucasus (Azerbaijan, Georgia), Mongolia and Russia; the Bologna Process cycle, ECTS credit transfer, university policies on academic mobility.


The training seminar was held in an interactive form. Each university created its own portfolio, which was maintained throughout the seminar. Each presentation was based on specific requirements, i.e. common aspects were identified and differences between universities were identified. Special attention was paid to preparing participants for the dissemination of knowledge gained during the training. At the end of the workshop, participants were given certificates. Dr.. Georgios Dafoulas, a member of the Organizing committee of the School of Science, introduced the participants to the activities of the University of Middlesex Londonand conducted a tour of the campus. The training seminar was held at the Middlesex County Middlesex Hall in London.


All participants of the seminar were awarded certificates of participation.
