University students may take a summer semester, except for the final-years, to address various needs such as extra training, resolving academic debts, adjusting study plans, for study of academic disciplines and earning credits in other educational organizations with subsequent credit transfer at home university. This initiative also aims to enhance students' overall academic performance (GPA).To improve an "unsatisfactory" grade, students can retake exams in the subsequent academic period or during the summer semester.


They must attend all relevant classes as per the curriculum, meet admission criteria, and pass the final assessment.For students with academic debts on the state exam "History of Kazakhstan", participating in the summer semester involves fulfilling all academic requirements, obtaining admission, and retaking exams as scheduled by the examination board.To enroll in the summer semester, students must complete a standard application form indicating their intention and undergo intermediate certification. The filled application forms are considered by the Dean of the Faculty. After payment at the designated bank, students submit the application along with the receipt to the university's accounting department, which processes it within three working days.Key points regarding the summer semester include:


Final assessments are conducted by the summer semester teachers.Exams take place during the last three days of the final week of the summer semester, following the completion of theoretical coursework. Reattempting exams for summer semester subjects is not permitted.The summer semester's performance impacts students' GPA and academic progression. Those with unsatisfactory results may be required to retake courses or risk losing educational grants.

At the end of the summer semester, the dean's office calculates each student's GPA and issues orders for course progression accordingly.
