On March 31, 2025, in accordance with the action plan of the Department of Surgical Diseases, a scientific conference "Actual problems of diagnosis and treatment of acute pancreatitis" was held among students of foreign groups of the 3rd year under the leadership of Zhambyl Dulatovich Ka. At the opening ceremony of the conference, Serik Akpenovich Ayaganov, Head of the Department of Surgical Disciplines, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor of the Department, addressed the conference participants with welcoming words Myrzakhanova Marzhan Nurkenkyzy.
With the first report "Acute Pancreatitis. Clinical and Morphological Classification and Complications" was performed by Tisha Modi, a student of the OMA 221 group. In her speech, she reflected modern approaches to managing patients with acute pancreatitis, the possibilities of predicting outcomes and assessing the severity of this pathology.
Next, the student of OMA-222 presented her work "Topical issues of diagnostics and complex treatment of acute pancreatitis". Viswanthan Aishwariya. The report presented modern minimally invasive methods for the diagnosis and treatment of acute destructive pancreatitis and its complications, and considered an algorithm for the use of various interventions depending on the clinical and morphological form of the pathological process.The features of the choice of treatment tactics in patients with postoperative pancreatic necrosis were presented by Kandula siva Kumar, a student of the OMA 223 group. The report reflected the options for the diagnosis and treatment of patients using both minimally invasive treatment methods and open surgeries.
Aditya Sharma, a student of the OMA 224 group, made a presentation on "Acute
pancreatitis. Modern Aspects of Pathogenesis». The participants of the conference were presented with modern aspects of the pathogenesis of pancreatitis, the concept of the enzymatic theory of this pathology.
The final report was made by Kambala Prudhvika, a student of the OMA 225 group, with the report "PANCREONECROSIS, AS A COMPLICATION OF ACUTE PANCREATITIS". The report presented data from modern international clinical guidelines and algorithms for choosing therapeutic tactics, indicating the expediency of using a step-by-step interventional strategy for the treatment of acute necrotizing pancreatitis.
All the reports aroused great interest among the listeners. The issues of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with acute pancreatitis, parapancreatitis and pancreatic necrosis were discussed during an active discussion. Zhambyl Dulatovich Kabdrashitov, senior lecturer of the Department of Surgical Diseases, surgeon, addressed the conference participants with a closing speech. He thanked the speakers, focused the audience's attention on the extreme complexity of managing patients with acute pancreatitis, parapancreatitis and pancreatic necrosis, the need to discuss controversial issues and the regularity of such conferences in order to discuss complex clinical cases and improve the quality of medical care.
