Pedagogical institute of Kokshetau University named after Sh. Ualikhanov is working on the implementation of the strategic goals and ideas of the state, contributing to the development of pedagogical education in the region and the country.
The history of the pedagogical institute is a reflection of the history of KU. Sh. Ualikhanova, one of the first universities in the Akmola region.
The Pedagogical Institute was founded in September 2021 on the basis of the oldest faculties: Physics and Mathematics, Philology, Foreign languages, History, founded in 1962, and Chemistry and Biology, which was opened in 1984.
The institute included 10 departments.
The training of modern teachers is carried out by 236 full-time teachers, including 10 doctors of science, 51 candidates of science, 18 PhD students , 57 senior teachers, 100 masters. 24 teachers of the pedagogical institute are the winners of the grant "The best teacher of the university" of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
For the training of competitive specialists and their successful adaptation in the international labor market, the institute conducts multilingual training. Undergraduates and students take an active part in the implementation of the program of external and internal academic mobility. The implementation of two- diploma educational programs of the master's program has begun. Students are actively engaged in research work.
The Pedagogical Institute closely cooperates with the universities of Kazakhstan and other countries, which contributes to the exchange of experience and scientific knowledge of teachers. The high scientific and pedagogical potential of the teaching staff is evidenced by the fact that teachers constantly take part in various international conferences and projects.
The contingent of students is 3182 people, among which 154 are winners of the “Altyn Belgi” sign, undergraduate students - 255, PhD students – 20.
Every year, students take part in student scientific conferences, where they test the results of their research; are winners and prize-winners of the Republican Subject Olympiads. The students of the institute have an interesting and eventful life: they are regular participants in amateur art shows, university-wide KVN competitions, as well as intra-university, city, regional and republican events. Many students of the institute are winners of competitions and subject Olympiads of the republican and international levels, champions of republican and international competitions in boxing, athletics and skiing.
The Pedagogical Institute maintains and strengthens its position among the leading pedagogical universities in Kazakhstan, preserves and passes on universal values to the younger generation, cooperates with many educational institutions, public organizations of the city, region, country and carries out international cooperation.
