History of the Chair
Legal education at Kokshetau University named after Sh. Ualikhanov was established in 2004 within the Department of "Fundamentals of Law and Economics." As a result of reorganization in 2011, the Department of "Jurisprudence" was created, which was transformed into the Department of "Law" in 2021.
The department employs staff with extensive experience in scientific, pedagogical, and practical activities. It includes doctors and candidates of legal sciences, practicing lawyers and private bailiffs, as well as active personnel from law enforcement agencies and masters of legal sciences. There is mutual collaboration with foreign colleagues from both near and far abroad.
The department has signed memorandums of cooperation with all law enforcement agencies in Akmolinsk region, which serve as our practice bases. Branches have been opened in the Department of Justice of Akmolinsk region and the Kokshetau city court.
The department provides training in the following areas: bachelor's and master's programs. Our graduates successfully work in law enforcement agencies, public service, and the civil sector.
