Brief summary of scientific and social activities

  • I have published over 40 works in the last 5 years, including publications in Scopus and Web of Science databases. I have presented at international conferences with oral and poster presentations. Additionally, I have obtained 10 patents.
  • I have also actively participated in the development of clinical protocols for the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
  • I have actively participated in projects initiated by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), and the Department of Public Health of Astana. These projects have focused on external evaluation, medical care for mothers and children, and assessment of the infectious control system.

Grants

  • I have worked on confidential audits of adverse outcomes in obstetrics and childhood in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2020, I served as the team leader of experts conducting confidential audits of adverse outcomes in obstetrics and childhood throughout the country.
  • 14-31 July 2020 I have participated in conducting COVID-19 training sessions for primary care physicians in 17 regions of Kazakhstan. The training sessions focused on strengthening the system of infection prevention and control.
  • 20-28 July 2020 Participation in a regional training on Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) in healthcare facilities, organized by UNICEF.
  • 19-30 October 2020 participation in the international workshop "Strengthening of the WSG and infection prevention and control systems" with a training visit to hospitals in Nur-Sultan.
  • External quality assessments of medical services for pregnant women, postpartum women, mothers, and children were conducted in pilot regions (7 regions, 14 healthcare organizations) of Kazakhstan from November 23 to December 31, 2020. The assessments utilized tools developed by WHO/UNICEF, including the "Assessment System for Infection Prevention and Control Measures at the Facility Level" and the "Guide for Improving Water Supply, Sanitation, and Hygiene in Healthcare Facilities". In addition, the development and adaptation of the tool/course "Quality Management of Inpatient Perinatal Care" by UNFPA took place in 2021-2022.
  • June 2022 Participation in conducting external evaluations of maternity hospitals in Kazakhstan, assessing the quality of inpatient care for mothers and newborns. These evaluations involved the participation of international experts from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the World Health Organization (WHO).
  • July 2022 Adaptation of guidelines, development of a course, and conducting online training on "Providing Integrated Distance Medical and Social Services to Adolescents" for specialists from Youth Health Centers (YHC) in the Turkestan region.
