Other Types of Financial Assistance for Prospective Students
Dear Prospective Students!
In addition to state educational grants, you also have access to other forms of financial support — grants from the Akmola Region Akimat, targeted grants from employers, and grants from private foundations and sponsors. Detailed information about the opportunities, eligibility criteria, and application procedures is provided below.
Grants from the Akmola Region Akimat
- 110 graduates will be able to start their studies in the 2025–2026 academic year at leading universities in the country thanks to grants from the regional budget.
- 786 students are already studying with the help of such grants: 358 in pedagogical programs, 423 in medical programs, and 5 in other fields Gurk.
Distribution of grants by field:
Pedagogy — Bachelor's degree (40 places) and Master's degree (34 places)

Document submission took place from August 8 to 17, and the competitive selection was held from August 20 to 25 Gurk.
2. Named Scholarship from the Akim of Akmola Region
This is a merit-based scholarship established by the Akimat to support talented and active students, interns, and residents studying on a tuition-paying basis Government of Kazakhstan.
Who can apply:
Prospective students in in-demand regional specialties with good academic performance and scientific, cultural, or sports achievements.
Students from socially vulnerable categories: orphans, children from large families, students with disabilities, students from low-income families, etc. Government of Kazakhstan.
Application and selection process:
- The application is submitted via the public services portal with the necessary documents (application form, ID, academic achievements, etc.) Government of Kazakhstan.
- A commission under the regional Akimat reviews the documents, makes a decision, prepares a protocol, and publishes the results on the official website Government of Kazakhstan.
- To receive the scholarship, a tripartite agreement is signed, requiring at least 3 years of work in the region, with possible deferment in certain cases (military service, Master's studies, etc.) Government of Kazakhstan.
Educational Grants for the North Caspian and Karachaganak Projects
These grants are provided under the KAZENERGY program.
Eligibility criteria:
- Citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan
- Unconditional enrollment or study at a university without financial debt
- UNT (Unified National Testing) certificate with a score of 80 points or higher (out of 140 possible)

Support from the «Қазақстан халқына» Foundation
The Foundation provides assistance in paying tuition for socially vulnerable groups.
Who can apply:
- Children with severe or rare diseases
- Orphans and children in difficult life situations
- Families below the poverty line
- Victims of emergencies
- Families of those who died in the line of duty
- Adults with rare diseases
- People with disabilities
- Talented children
