Relevance
Global, national and regional climate change is taking place, in this regard, in order to ensure the sustainable development of the region's economy, it is necessary to determine the levels of vulnerability and risks of water basins in Northern Kazakhstan.
Goal
Development of a project on adaptation of aquatic ecosystems in Northern Kazakhstan to ensure their sustainable use and water management security in the context of climate change.
Project results
As a result of the study, in accordance with various scenarios developed by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, vulnerability levels and risks of water basins in Northern Kazakhstan will be determined and calculations of the required volume of water and activity of aquatic ecosystems will be given, as well as an analysis of water quality.
According to the results of the study, in 2023, 1 (one) article in the journal Sustainability (Switzerland) with 87 percentiles on CiteScore was published in the Scopus database.
In 2024, one (1) journal article with at least 50 CiteScore percentiles will be published in the Scopus database.
