On 8 December 2025, the international seminar “ESG: Risk Management” officially started at Tajik National University in Dushanbe. The event is held within the framework of the ESGCA project — “Bridging Environmental Concerns, Societal Needs, and Good Governance in Central Asian Education and Employment Sectors”.

The seminar was opened with a welcome address by the Rector of Tajik National University, Professor Emomali Nasriddinzoda, who emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between Central Asian countries and European partners. As part of the programme, guests were offered an introductory tour of the university, including visits to academic buildings, classrooms, and laboratories.

Over the course of five days, participants will discuss a wide range of issues related to environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG), including:

The seminar brings together representatives of academia, business, and public authorities, creating a platform for professional dialogue, exchange of experience, and discussion of prospects for sustainable development in the region. The outcomes of the event will include a round table discussion and the development of joint recommendations for the establishment of ESG centres.

The ESGCA project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme and aims to modernize environmental education as well as to develop a new master’s programme in ESG for Central Asian countries.
