In the following days of the training, participants engaged in discussions on pressing issues of sustainable development, particularly rational water use and the implementation of ESG principles.
Professor Raluca-Elena Muresan (“Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu, Romania) emphasized in her presentation the need for active involvement of all stakeholders including governmental authorities, businesses, and civil society in the development and implementation of strategies for water conservation and efficient resource use.
Mgr. Dasha Priedgorska (Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava) highlighted the importance of integrating ESG principles into educational programs as a means of addressing global challenges and adapting to rapid changes in the modern world.
Peter Rakovský, a representative of Ernst & Young Slovakia (Bratislava), shared his perspective on the impact of ESG factors on the future of business.
On the final day of the training, participants attended the Career Day event, organized by the Faculty of Civil Engineering. The event brought together representatives of local industrial, manufacturing, construction, and other companies. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between universities and the business sector, including potential partnership models, joint research initiatives, and student internship opportunities.
Following this, Professor Stefano Alberti (University of Genoa, Italy) spoke about water pollutants and treatment methods. Postdoctoral researcher Ilaria Rizzardi (University of Genoa, Italy) presented the results of her research on modern water purification technologies, including membrane processes and aeration techniques.
All training participants actively engaged in discussions on integrating ESG principles into university educational programs.
