On April 2, 2026, on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day, Dmitry V. Lepeshev, Head of the Research Laboratory “Inclusive Education and Neurodiversity,” took part in a regional conference organized by the Public Foundation “Inclusive Parents,” within the framework of developing cooperation with NGOs. The event was initiated by the ambassador of the “Inclusive Assembly” project and was held on the topic: “Autism: challenges, support, and opportunities.”During a meaningful dialogue, parents raising children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) made constructive proposals on the development of inclusive environments in the city of Kokshetau and the Akmola region.Speakers at the three dialogue platforms included representatives of government bodies from the city and the Akmola region in the fields of education, healthcare, and social services.Representing the academic community of Sh. Ualikhanov University, Dmitry Vladimirovich presented a roadmap for a scientific approach and cooperation for all stakeholders.We express our sincere gratitude to the organizers, parents, and participants of the meeting and wish success in the development of an inclusive environment in our city and the Akmola region!
