On April 25, 2025, the 83rd International Scientific Conference of the University of Latvia was held in Riga, bringing together young scientists and students from around the world.

Among the participants were students of the School of Medicine of Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University, representing the scientific club "03_trends", who presented their research in the field of medicine and public health.

Under the scientific supervision of Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Nurbek Sagynbekuly Igisin, the following students presented their work:

• Karina Kozhakmet, 2nd-year student – “Geographical Variability of Rickets Incidence in Kazakhstan”;

• Ivan Shishkin, 5th-year student – “Trends in Prostate Cancer Morbidity in Kazakhstan”;

• Aruzhan Birlesova, 6th-year student – “Trends in Tonsillar Diseases in Kazakhstan”.

Under the scientific supervision of Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Kulsara Rustembekovna Rustemova, the following report was presented:

• Aruzhan Musylman, 6th-year student – “Prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus in Akmola Region of Kazakhstan”.

Participation in the international conference became an important stage in the professional development of the students. Presenting their research at such a reputable platform enabled them to share their findings with a wide academic audience, gain valuable feedback from international peers, and strengthen scientific collaboration across borders.
