On November 25, 2024, Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University hosted a meeting with the distinguished scholar and 2007 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Rae Kwon Chung.
A global expert in green economy, alternative energy, and climate change, Mr. Chung delivered a lecture titled “Future Education and Work Amid the Climate Crisis and Artificial Intelligence.” His presentation at Nobel Fest 2024 garnered special attention from the festival participants.
The event was attended by students, scientists, and faculty members from various universities in the city. Representatives of the regional akimat were also present, including the Ecology Department for the Akmola Region under the Committee for Environmental Regulation and Control of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology, and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan, the Department of Agriculture and Land Relations, and the Akmola Region Tourism Department.
The meeting served as a platform for exchanging experiences and discussing promising projects in ecology, sustainable development, and innovative technologies. We are confident that such initiatives strengthen collaboration among science, education, and government institutions, laying the groundwork for effective decision-making in the region.
As part of the event, Rae Kwon Chung was awarded the honorary title of “Honorary Professor of Ualikhanov University” in recognition of his contributions to the advancement of science.
