The regular meeting of the founders of the Kazakhstan Association of Silver Universities was held on December 29, 2026.
The agenda included summing up the results of the activities of the Association of Silver Universities in 2025 and discussing the draft work plan for 2026.
On the first issue, the report was delivered by Aigul Doszhanovna Zhakupova, Vice-Rector for Research and Regional Cooperation of Ualikhanov University.The first year of the Association’s work was organizational.
The Charter of the public association was registered with the justice authorities, the President and the Audit Commission were elected, and a page was created on the international AIUTA Connect platform. In her speech, the main activities of the Association in 2025 were highlighted. Among the most active universities were noted:
- L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University;
- M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University;
- Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University;
- Karagandy National Research University named after Academician E. A. Buketov;
- Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.
The members of the Association were presented with a draft work plan of the Kazakhstan Association for 2026. Suggestions for amendments will be accepted until January 10, 2026.
At the end of the meeting, the founders of the Association considered the inclusion of three Kazakhstani universities into the Association based on submitted applications.
