Ualikhanov University Vice-Rector Sagyndykova Zhaylagul Participates in Strategic Partners Council Meeting

On March 17, 2026, Sagyndykova Zhaylagul, Vice-Rector for International Relations at Ualikhanov University, took part in the IV meeting of the Strategic Partners Council of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan. The session brought together Deputy Minister Gulzat Kobenova, executive council members, heads of foreign partner universities, and representatives of international university branches in Kazakhstan.

The meeting highlighted key initiatives driving the systemic transformation of higher education and enhancing its international competitiveness. Discussions focused on positioning Kazakhstan as a regional hub for international education, expanding foreign partnerships and university branches, and implementing modern promotion tools alongside an updated funding model.

Participants also explored opportunities to strengthen Kazakhstan’s role as an international education center and the potential establishment of a regional CIMEA office in Central Asia.
