Today, the Rector of Ualikhanov University, Marat Syrlybayev, honored a student who demonstrated exceptional courage and heroism.

Zhanas Faizulla, a first-year student of the Higher School of Medicine and a volunteer with the “Kazmed Zhastary” organization

was awarded a Letter of Appreciation and the 1st Degree Medal “For Contribution to the Development of Ualikhanov University” for his courage and heroism.

On the morning of March 13, 2026, at around 9:00 a.m., an emergency call was received by the 103 service: a man had collapsed unconscious in a public place. An ambulance team was immediately dispatched, with Zhanas among its members.

The patient was in critical condition: no breathing, no detectable pulse, and blood pressure at 0/0. Cardiac arrest and clinical death were diagnosed. Resuscitation efforts were initiated without delay, and thanks to the coordinated and professional actions of the medical team, the patient’s heart activity was successfully restored. He was later transported to the cardiology center of the Akmola Regional Multidisciplinary Hospital, where he received treatment and was discharged in stable condition.

This case is a powerful testament to the professionalism, responsibility, and readiness of future medical specialists. The Higher School of Medicine at Ualikhanov University trains highly qualified professionals in line with international standards, offering state-of-the-art infrastructure and simulation technologies to develop practical skills.
