Silver University: Intergenerational Connections

On March 18, 2026, the contest “Nauryz – The Continuity of Generations” was held in the ceremonial hall of Dormitory No. 3 of Sh. Ualikhanov University, bringing together three teams. The team “Ulys Ulandary” consisted of youth from Kazakhstan, “Yntymak” united students from the Kazakh diaspora living in Mongolia, while the team “Shanyrak” represented learners of the Silver University.

The Nauryz holiday, symbolizing renewal, harmony, and the beginning of a new life, became the foundation of the event. Its main goal was to strengthen intergenerational connections, promote national traditions, and foster an atmosphere of unity and mutual respect.

Participants demonstrated their knowledge, creativity, and team spirit through several stages. Intellectual contests encouraged the exchange of knowledge about the history, traditions, traditional cuisine, customs, national games, and wisdom of the Kazakh people.

A highlight of the event was the creative stage “Traditions on Stage,” where teams presented theatrical performances showcasing the richness of Kazakh customs and traditions.

According to the results, the grand prize was awarded to the team “Shanyrak,” which demonstrated a high level of preparation, cohesion, and deep knowledge of national traditions.

The event was held in a warm and festive atmosphere, becoming a vivid example of intergenerational dialogue and the preservation of cultural heritage. Participants expressed their wish for this event to become a tradition.
