Silver University: Admission for the 2026–2027 Academic Year
Shokan Ualikhanov Kokshetau University continuously implements non-formal education programs for citizens of Kazakhstan, considering this area as an essential part of its third mission — social responsibility and contribution to societal development.
One of the key areas is the Silver University, which focuses on providing educational opportunities for senior citizens (55+) with an emphasis on continuous personal and professional development. The programs are designed using flexible and practice-oriented approaches and aim to develop digital, social, and personal competencies, taking into account individual learning needs and current societal demands.
In the 2026–2027 academic year, 24 educational courses will be offered for residents of Kokshetau. The list of programs is updated annually based on the interests and needs of participants.
To enroll, applicants are required to submit an application addressed to the Rector and sign a contract. Applications will be accepted from May 15 to August 20, 2026. The academic year will run from September 1, 2026, to May 20, 2027, and will consist of two semesters.
In addition to courses, participants are offered workshops, interest-based clubs, as well as educational and cultural study trips within Kazakhstan and abroad.
The University is open to cooperation with organizations, enterprises, and social partners in the development of non-formal education programs and invites senior citizens to join the learning community.
