Listeners of the Silver University have different backgrounds and interests, but at the same time they are united by the desire to gain new knowledge and exchange information, including on the history of Kazakhstan, which is intertwined with their personal fates and the fates of their families.
For participants of educational programs of the Silver University on January 5, 2025 was held a guest lecture of Seytkasymov Amanbai Asylbayevich, candidate of historical sciences, head of the Institute of History of the region named after Professor K. Abuyev of Ualikhanov University.
Seytkasymov A.A. in the period from 2021 to 2023 coordinated the research project of Akimat of Akmola region “Rehabilitation of victims of political repressions” and during this period studied a large number of archival documents, communicated with living witnesses of those harsh times. Scientists have published 11 books and 3 films containing historical materials in the period of repressions 1920-1950 and continue to form a scientific base for further research.
The participants of the lecture expressed their deep gratitude to the scientists for preserving historical memory and continuing the struggle for truth and justice.
