From March 2 to 4, the university held an event dedicated to the Day of Gratitude. The initiator and organizer was the university psychologist, Manapova Altyn Orazovna, with the active participation of the “Soft Skills Lab” psychological club and students of the Psychology educational program (PR-241 group). International students also took part in the event. The purpose of the event was to promote a culture of gratitude within the student community, strengthen interpersonal relationships, and develop empathy and positive thinking. As part of the “Gratitude Box – ‘Thank You for Being There!’” campaign, students wrote warm messages on special cards. They expressed appreciation to their friends and classmates, as well as gratitude to university professors for their support, knowledge, and mentorship. Special attention was given to letters addressed to mothers and fathers, parents, and relatives, in which students expressed their love and sincere gratitude for their care, faith, and support. During the event, participants shared personal stories about significant people in their lives and reflected on whom they are truly grateful for. All letters were delivered to their recipients, with student interns organizing the mailing process. The campaign was held in a warm, trusting, and emotionally supportive atmosphere. Students noted that practicing gratitude helps reduce anxiety, strengthen inner resources, enhance emotional closeness, and foster a positive outlook on life.

Also, university psychologist Gulden Mazbayeva conducted a training session in the student dormitory dedicated to Gratitude Day on the topic “Learning to Create a Comfortable Environment”. The training aimed to unite students and promote a culture of gratitude. The session focused on methods such as role-playing, discussions, building friendly relationships, developing trust and interest in others, as well as fostering emotional empathy.
