about students studying under the social program "Mangilik ate zhastary - industry" - "Serpin - 2050" at Kokshetau University. Sh. Ualikhanov

Since 2014, Kokshetau University named after Sh. Ualikhanov has been participating in the training of personnel within the framework of the implementation of the state program “Mangilik ate zhastary – industry” - “Serpin - 2050”.

The goal of the program is the training and employment of youth from the densely populated southern regions of the country (Almaty, Zhambyl, Turkestan, Kyzylorda, Mangistau regions) in the eastern, northern and central regions of Kazakhstan, which are experiencing a shortage of personnel.

Every year, at Kokshetau University named after Sh. Ualikhanov, a mobile group is created from among teachers and staff to conduct career guidance work among young people (school graduates) from Almaty, Zhambyl, Turkestan, Kyzylorda and Mangistau regions, with travel to these regions to inform school graduates about the benefits of educational institutions, about the main areas of study and educational programs.

Today, more than 1600 students are studying in 23 educational programs at the educational institution under the Serpin-2050 program. Of these: 54,9% people from the Turkestan region, 29,8% from the Kyzylorda region, 6,5% people from the Zhambyl region, 3,7% people from the Almaty region, 3,6% people from the South Kazakhstan region, 1,5% - other.

In the current academic year, 376 graduates (318 students of pedagogical specialties, 38 technical specialties, 20 agricultural specialties) will complete their studies within the framework of the Serpin program.

It should be noted the high level of education among Serpinov students: 5 3rd year students of the OP “Foreign Language” are holders of a scholarship from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Akhmet Aziza, Esirkep Nazerke, Zholdasbekkyzy Aruzhan, Myrzabekkyzy Diana, Turlan Aida.

Among the Serpinovites there are participants and winners of Republican and regional Olympiads, conferences and festivals.Project students are members of the university student parliament (debate club “Ziyatker”, dombra circle “Shanyrak”, dance studio “Impulse”).

In total, for the period from 2018-2024, 1946 graduates graduated from the university under the project “Mangilik ate zhastary - industry” - “Serpin-2050”. Employed - 1702 (87,0%) people. In Akmola region, 266 (14%) people are employed.

An important point of the social project “Serpin-2050” is the payment of scholarships to students, the provision of dormitories and assistance in finding employment after graduation.

Today the university has 5 student dormitories. The total design capacity is 1365 beds.

There are a coordinator for the Serpin-2050 program and a coordinator for dormitories, supervising the quality organization of training and educational work with students.

In order to effectively employ graduates, the University has created a “Career and Employment Center”.

In accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, students studying under this program will undergo professional practice in the region of study. And also in accordance with Appendix No. 2 to the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 4, 2023 in order to increase the level of employment, students who have studied under this program can be employed in 8 regions of the republic:

3. Pavlodar region
4. North Kazakhstan region
5. Karaganda region
6. Kostanay region
7. East Kazakhstan region
8. Ulytau region

The distribution of young specialists among institutions, their referral to work and employment is carried out by local executive bodies in accordance with the instructions of the educational organization.

The social project “Serpin” our university has created all the necessary conditions for their quality education.
