The Shoqan Sports Club, established in 2024 (hereinafter referred to as the Sports Club), is a sports organization of the Non-Profit Joint-Stock Company “Shokan Ualikhanov Kokshetau University” (hereinafter referred to as the University) and carries out activities aimed at engaging all participants of the educational process in regular physical culture and sports, as well as at the development and promotion of mass sports.

The Sports Club carries out its activities in accordance with the Concept for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023–2029, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Education,” the Charter of the University, as well as the Regulations on the Shoqan Sports Club of Shokan Ualikhanov Kokshetau University.

  1. The main goals and objectives of the Sports Club are:

- To organize health-improving activities for students and employees of the University through physical culture and sports, and to actively and purposefully promote a healthy lifestyle;

- To organize physical fitness, wellness, and mass sports activities at the University;

- To form the University’s representative teams and create conditions for their successful participation in competitions at various levels;

- To conduct tournaments, competitions, spartakiads, and other sports events;

- To promote sports and a healthy lifestyle, and to enhance and promote the University’s brand.

  1. Structure

The Sports Club carries out its activities through the Director, Manager, Executive Secretary, coaching and teaching staff, and the student body.

  1. Material and Technical Facilities

To carry out physical fitness and wellness activities, the Sports Club uses sports equipment and facilities, including sports halls and sports grounds of the University, namely:

sports hall (24 Akana Sere Street);

gymnastics hall and climbing wall (24 Akana Sere Street, Room 223);

Fitness and Wellness Complex No. 1 (70a Auelbekov Street);

Fitness and Wellness Complex No. 2 (170a Kuanyshev Street);

sports ground at 24 Akana Sere Street;

- sports ground at 76 Abay Street;

- gym (24 Akana Sere Street);

- tennis hall (Fitness and Wellness Complex No. 2, 170a Kuanyshev Street);

- ski track (Specialized Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve No. 2, Bukpa Hill);

- ski base for 25 pairs of skis (24 Akana Sere Street);

- wrestling hall (Fitness and Wellness Complex No. 1, 70a Auelbekov Street);

- swimming pool (rented from Specialized Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve No. 7, 1 Gorky Street);

- athletics indoor arena (rented, 116u Abay Street).
