Regional Forum on Employment and entrepreneurship among young people in the framework of the TEMPUS 2013 UNIWORK project
10-11 March 10-11, 2016 at Bukhara State University (Bukhara, Uzbekistan)Regional Forum on Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship was held within the framework of the European project No. 544126-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-ES-TEMPUS-JPHES TEMPUS 2013 UNIWORK "Strengthening Career Centers in Central Asian universities to expand graduates 'employment opportunities and create high-quality employment".
Participants of the Regional Forum included experts, representatives of universities, ministries of higher education and science, chambers of commerce and industry and the business sector from Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, as well as the University of Alicante (Spain), the FH Joanneum University of Applied SciencesJoanneum(Austria) and the University of Sheffield (Great Britain) .
From KSU named after Sh. Ualikhanov Tleuberdina G. T. – Ph. D., Academic Secretary of the University, Shornikova O. N. - head of the Career Center, Iskakova G. E. – local coordinator of the TEMPUS 2013 UNIWORK project at the university, Manapov D. K. – 4th year student of the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
On the first day, a student business plan contest was held and posters on the business plan were shown among the winning students from Central Asian countries who presented their business plans orally.
A round table on "Strengthening interaction between business and education to promote entrepreneurship among students and graduates" was organized, in which representatives of chambers of commerce and industry and the business sector from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan discussed the issue of employment and entrepreneurship among young people at the regional level.
During the Regional Forum, all partners from Central Asia presented recommendations on national strategies for youth employment and entrepreneurship promotion, as well as strengthening cooperation between universities and enterprises.
On the second day, a round table was held on the topic "How can the Government support higher education in order to improve the employment of graduates?", in which representatives of the ministries of higher Education from five Central Asian countries discussed issues of improving the employment of graduates.
At the end of the Regional Forum, all participants were awarded certificates.
