Doctor of Engineering Monika Kulisz (Politechnika Lubelska, Poland) and Professor Ignacio Menéndez-Pidal de Navascués (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain) have begun research activities at Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University as part of an international project focused on the sustainable development of the Akmola region under climate change.
Monika Kulisz explores the possibilities of implementing environmentally friendly transport systems, while Ignacio Menéndez-Pidal develops geoengineering approaches for safe and sustainable land use.
During their stay, the researchers will participate in meetings with faculty members, collaborate with local research teams, and visit regional enterprises to gather field data. The findings will contribute to joint scientific publications and practical recommendations to improve environmental resilience.
