As part of Science Month, on April 10 at 17:00, a round table was held in the small hall of the Rectorate by the “Water Quality” Research Laboratory, dedicated to the issue of drinking water quality in Kokshetau.

We would like to thank the guests of the event for their active participation in discussing the challenges related to drinking water in Kokshetau: State Municipal Enterprise "Kokshetau Su Arnasy"; Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of Akmola Region; Department of Ecology of Akmola Region; Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of Akmola Region.

The event featured presentations on the current state of treatment facilities at the water purification station near the TV tower, as well as a comparative overview of water post-treatment using household filters.

As a result of the productive discussion, the following resolutions were adopted:

Construction of new water treatment plants with a capacity exceeding 30,000 m³.
Replacement of the city’s distribution network.
Year-round operation of the coagulation facility.
