Learning outcomes and competencies

  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills related to the basic laws of the history of Kazakhstan, fundamental principles of philosophical, socio-political, economic, natural science and legal disciplines, as well as oral and written communication in Kazakh, Russian and a foreign language.
  • Apply the methods of scientific research, artificial intelligence and academic writing in the field under study, observe the principles of academic integrity in professional activities, demonstrate knowledge of the practical foundations of physical education.
  • Demonstrate knowledge about the laws of the pedagogical process, age-related physiological characteristics of schoolchildren and modern methods of assessment and teaching. Apply criteria assessment technologies, modern methods, tools, and forms of education, taking into account the individual characteristics and educational needs of students.
  • Analyze the key stages of the historical development of the world and Kazakhstan, identify the cause-and-effect relationships of events, compare historical processes, civilizational and cultural achievements in different regions and epochs.Skills developed: analytical thinking, critical assessment of information, working with historical sources, the ability to summarize information.
  • Apply methods of critical analysis of historical sources, work with archival documents, artifacts and digital databases, and use various approaches in historical research. Skills developed: archival and archaeological work, source analysis, research skills, working with scientific literature, processing large amounts of data.
  • Evaluate the role of nomadic and settled civilizations and their contribution to world history. To form a holistic view of the nomadic societies of Eurasia, their political structures, culture and interaction with settled civilizations.
  • To develop the skills of teaching history and organizing the educational process: to plan and conduct history classes in accordance with the updated educational content, to apply criteria-based assessment (QT, STS), to use interactive teaching methods, to organize extracurricular activities and research projects for school students.
  • To form competencies for analyzing the postcolonial development of Asian and African countries; to assess the impact of totalitarian regimes on the development of Kazakhstan; to analyze the role of national movements in the formation of statehood; to use statistical and demographic data in historical research, to analyze migration processes and the formation of the Kazakh diaspora; to assess Kazakhstan's place in the system of modern international relations; to apply an interdisciplinary approach in the study of modern history.
  • To explore the theoretical and methodological problems and principles of the work of museums and archives, to systematize historical materials, to participate in the preservation and popularization of cultural heritage.
  • To analyze: cultural codes, rituals and social norms of different eras; the influence of prominent figures on the course of history; the relationship between the daily life of society and global political processes. To study: key diplomatic events, the role of Kazakhstan in modern international processes, international organizations and factors of the formation of the world order.
