Today, the Career Center at Ualikhanov University organized a panel discussion titled “Careers in Public Service: Opportunities and Prospects,” bringing together fourth-year students and representatives of government institutions.

The event featured Anuar Kumpekeyev, Mayor of Kokshetau; Raikhan Bratayeva, Deputy Head of the Akmola Regional Department of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan; and representatives of the regional judicial system.

The discussion focused on employment opportunities and professional development for young specialists in the public sector. Participants explored civil service recruitment procedures, candidate requirements, essential professional competencies, and opportunities for career advancement.

Notably, Anuar Kumpekeyev, Mayor of Kokshetau, is an alumnus of Ualikhanov University. He also studied at Lomonosov Moscow State University and participated in Kazakhstan's Bolashak International Scholarship Programme. His professional journey offered students a practical example of the role that education and continuous professional development can play in building a career.

During the panel discussion, representatives of government institutions shared their professional experiences, provided insights into working in the public sector, and offered practical advice to students preparing to enter the workforce.

An open Q&A session gave students the opportunity to engage directly with the speakers and ask questions about employment, competitive recruitment procedures, professional requirements, and career progression.

Such events strengthen cooperation between Ualikhanov University and potential employers, helping students gain a better understanding of employment opportunities and make informed decisions about their future careers.
