On October 14, Ualikhanov University held a lecture on “Anti-Corruption Culture” for students, led by the university’s Compliance Officer, Beknur Amangeldy.
The session focused on preventing corruption, promoting integrity and academic honesty, and encouraging personal responsibility in upholding ethical standards.
Students explored Kazakhstan’s anti-corruption policies, modern approaches to identifying and preventing corruption risks, and the role of the university’s compliance office in promoting transparency and accountability. The lecture also covered mechanisms for combating corruption and ways students can protect their rights.
A key message of the session was that fighting corruption goes beyond following the law. It begins with individual integrity, personal responsibility, and respect for shared values.
Fostering an anti-corruption culture among young people is an essential part of building an academic community rooted in trust, fairness, and integrity.
