The second meeting of the project "Accessibility and Harmonization of Higher Education in Central Asia through Modernization and Curriculum Development (ACADEMICA)" was held at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) from 4 to 5 July 2016. From Kokshetau State University named after Sh. Ualikhanov participated: a senior lecturer of the Department of Information Systems and Information Technologies, a member of the project working group Muradilova G.S., academic project coordinator Shayakhmetova A.A., country project coordinator Kakabayev A.A. and project manager, First Vice Rector Zharkinbekov T.N. At this meeting the participants from Central Asia have presented their strategic vision on how the international academic community - teachers plan to develop the implementation of educational programs on engineering specialties in universities in Central Asia. Project Leader, First Vice-Rector Zharkinbekov T.N. presented the main provisions for the introduction of educational programmes in Kazakhstani universities. Project Country Coordinator Kakabayev A.A. presented the National Report from Kazakhstan. Project Training Coordinator Shayakhmetova A.A. and Senior Lecturer of IS and VT Chair Muradilova G.S. focused foreign partners' attention on the specifics of national education in the field of information and communication technologies, and actively participated in the discussions.


During the meeting the representatives of Spain, Italy and Austria made presentations. Partners from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan made presentations during the exchange of views on the work of the project. At the first stage of the project all HEIs conducted questionnaires and at this seminar the results were summarised and the questionnaires were analysed. Based on the monitoring, the project coordinator Maria Monova - Zheleva proposed further planning of work on the adaptation of educational programme standards. In general, the meeting resulted in new approaches to the implementation of the main goal of the project. At the end of the meeting, all participants were given certificates of participation.
