During the official ceremony marking the environmental certification of four buildings of “Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University” NPJSC, held on 18 September 2026, a dissemination of the results of the 101129169 “Development of innovative curricula and modules in Circular Economy and Sustainable Development” (CirculEC) и 101177914 “Bridging Environmental Concerns, Societal Needs and Good Governance in Central Asian Education and Employment Sectors” (ESGCA) projects was held.

During the event, members of the projects’ working group, Aigul Saparbekovna Kurmanbayeva and Zulfiya Yerzatovna Bayazitova, presented information on the ongoing projects to the participants, providing a detailed overview of their goals, main objectives, areas of activity, and achieved results.

Holding the dissemination as part of an event dedicated to the environmental certification of the university’s buildings made it possible to demonstrate the connection between the Erasmus+ projects and the principles of sustainable development, environmental responsibility, and the advancement of “green” educational infrastructure. The environmental certification of the four university buildings is also aimed at improving energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, and the quality of the educational environment.

The initiatives being implemented align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDG 4 “Quality Education,” SDG 7 “Affordable and Clean Energy,” SDG 11 “Sustainable Cities and Communities,” SDG 12 “Responsible Consumption and Production,” and SDG 13 “Climate Action.” Thus, the university’s activities within the framework of the Erasmus+ projects and the environmental certification of its buildings contribute to fostering a sustainable educational environment, raising environmental awareness, and embedding the principles of “green” development into the university’s infrastructure.
