During the period from February 1 to 3, 2017, Kostanay State University named after A. Baitursynov hosted a training seminar within the framework of the Erasmus+ program of the project "Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development-SARUD".Purpose of the seminar at Kostanay State University. Baitursynova - advanced training of representatives of universities-developers of a new master's program in the field of sustainable rural development.Russian and European experts representing the Russian State Agrarian University – MSHA named after K. A. Timiryazev (Prof. Dr. Alexander Merzlov), Warsaw University of Natural Sciences (Prof. Dr. Axel Schwerk), Czech University of Natural Sciences in Prague (Prof. Dr. Michal Loshtak), and SARUD Project Coordinator, German University of Heuenheim (Prof. Dr. Martin Dietrich).The event was attended by representatives of the following universities-developers of the SARUD Master's program: Omsk State Agrarian University named after P. A. Stolypin, Michurinsky State Agrarian University, Buryat State Agricultural Academy named after P. A. Stolypin. Filippova, Novosibirsk State Agrarian University, S. Seifullin KATU and Sh. Ualikhanov KSU.The seminar participants had the opportunity to attend lectures by European and Russian experts in the field of sustainable development. Participants were presented with indicators and models of sustainable rural development, as well as practical examples of rural development in Europe and Russia, experience and existing problems in this area were highlighted.During the seminar, members of the delegation visited the enterprises of Sadchikovskoye LLP and made speeches on the regional TV channel. The guests spoke about the analysis of the regional labor market and the need for qualified specialists in the field of sustainable rural development.
