The final partners' meeting of the TEMPUS 2011 EPASAT project "Environmental protection through the development and application of sustainable agricultural technologies" took place from 8 to 10 December 2014 at the HRC "Ok-Zhetpes" (Shchuchinsk-Borovoe resort area, Kazakhstan).

The meeting was attended by coordinators and partners from European countries: Italy, Portugal, Poland, Estonia, Hungary, as well as partners from Central Asia: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

During the meeting the partners discussed the project results, creation of Ph.D. doctoral schools, academic mobility of students, bilateral agreements on international cooperation, establishment of professional centres in agroecology, agrotechnology and agro-economics, developed educational programmes, training courses and materials, number of students in new programmes, financial reporting on the project. After the meeting, the project partners from European countries visited the established professional centres in the Agrarian-Technical Institute named after S. Sadvakasov at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of KSU named after Sh. Ualikhanov.

During the discussion, the following goals and objectives were set for the partners: to develop a sustainability plan for the project and to disseminate the results over the next three years.

Summing up the final meeting, the partners discussed the possibility of continuing the project in the new Erasmus Plus format and the prospects for further international cooperation.
