Project goal:
UNIWORK is aimed at strengthening ties between universities and production. The project will contribute to the sustainable socio-economic development of Central Asia (CA) by increasing the capacity of higher education institutions to effectively promote employment of graduates and raise the culture of entrepreneurship among students in accordance with the Bologna Principles and Tempus
Individual project goals:
- Transform the career guidance centers of 12 partner universities into effective tools for promoting and supporting student employment and entrepreneurship, as well as creating a role model for other partner universities.
- Strengthening ties between universities and enterprises, developing tools and mechanisms for active involvement of enterprises in the activities of career guidance centersCаCе.
- UNIWORK is implemented by a consortium of universities, business associations, and government agencies in the field of higher education.
- The project will meet the urgent needs of Central Asian universities and enterprises by::
- Create a knowledge base and identify best practices in Central Asia and the EU in the field of employment promotion and entrepreneurship promotion. Expected results: publication of reports, including guidance on best practices.
- Professional development of employees of 12 career guidance centers, which will benefit not only students, but also other universities in Central Asia. Expected results: creation of educational materials, electronic educational resources for students and employees.
- Strengthening the organizational capacity of career guidance centers. Expected results: improving the organizational and technical capacity of career guidance centers in 12 universities.
- Improving the quality of services provided to students. Expected results: organization of job fairs, business plan contests, and services.
- Supporting and connecting stakeholders and building bridges between higher education and businesses.
Expected results:
- Holding national and regional forums, creating working groups of stakeholders, alumni associations, and making policy recommendations.
- Dissemination of information on the results of the project within the framework of a strategic approach aimed at various target groups and stakeholders.
- "UNIWORK's activities and sustainable results will benefit not only the 12 Central Asian universities directly involved in the project, but also other universities and stakeholders from the Central Asian region.
