Since September 1, 2022, for the 1st year doctoral students of Ualikhanov Kokshetau University, the visiting professor from Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor Talal Awwad has been conducting lectures and practical classes on the discipline “Methods of scientific research”.
During the classes, Professor T. Awwad talks about the methodological foundations of scientific knowledge, the structure of dissertation research, as well as about the organization and planning of scientific activities in general.

Professor Talal Awwad has more than 20 years of experience in higher and postgraduate education, including more than 15 years in administrative management positions.
The professor is a member of international professional associations such as ISSMGE (International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnics), OSEA (Association of Syrian Engineers and Architects), NEC (National Earthquake Center, Damascus, Syria) and others.
Also, Professor T. Awwad is an honorary member of the Eurasian Academy of Mining Sciences, honorary academician of the National Academy of Mining Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, honorary professor of Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University and other international universities.
Professor Talal Awwad has more than 250 publications for the entire period of his scientific activity, including those published in indexed international periodicals included in the databases Scopus, Thompson Reuters.
He actively promotes and develops science and technology, has extensive experience in creating and managing scientific projects.
Under the supervision of Professor Talal Awwad, more than 20 doctors (PhD) defended their doctoral dissertations, and more than 50 masters defended their master's theses.
