On March 20, 2024, at the Department of Morphology, Physiology and General Pathology, a student scientific conference “Current issues on chronic non-infectious diseases” was held among students studying in English at the Higher School of Medicine.

The conference was opened with a welcoming speech by the head of the department of morphology, physiology and general pathology, candidate of medical sciences, Zhangalov Banurzhan Bayanovich

During the conference, students covered the following topics:

  • “Cytomegalovirus infection during pregnancy” - Ravi Raagavi, Chirag Rajpurohit (scientific supervisor - N.A. Murzagulov)
  • “Diagnosis, treatment and management of apathy in Parkinson’s disease” - Sikkandar Ali Munazzathul Nihla, Sikkandarali Hanoona (scientific supervisor - N.A. Murzagulov)

  • “Stroke: unlocking insights into prevention, treatment and recovery” - Ganesh Roshan, Samreen Fatima (scientific supervisor - B.T. Zhandarbekova)

The audience showed interest in the reports and actively asked questions.

The students' scientific work is highly relevant today, the reports were informative, with the potential for in-depth study and publication in scientific journals and international conferences.
